Her makeup line Kylie Cosmetics, which was launched three years ago, has generated $630 million in sales. She owns 100% of the company.
The magazine predicts that Kylie’s net worth will reach $1 Billion next year and that will make her the youngest self-made billionaire ever. Mark Zuckerberg holds this record for becoming a billionaire at 23.
Kylie thanks her huge social media following for being key to the fast growth of her makeup empire. “Social media is an amazing platform,” she tells Forbes. “I have such easy access to my fans and my customers.”

Some netizens though are slamming Forbes for classifying Kylie as “self-made” as everyone knows that she was born to instant wealth and fame.
But, according to Forbes’ methodology, “We consider any person who built her own fortune, and didn’t inherit the money, to be self-made. So top executives at tech firms who are compensated for helping significantly grow companies make the ranks but not second generation women running family businesses.”
Self-made or not, being a near-billionaire at 20 is one impressive feat! Kylie is king!
