A kid-friendly franchise and its murder-happy counterpart are set to drop their latest installments ON THE SAME DAY - which is hilariously surreal.
The teaser for Toy Story 4 features the same old lineup of Woody and Co., along with a new reluctant addition to the squad.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the film will be centered around Forky, who is essentially a spork-turned-toy created by the squad’s current owner, Bonnie.
Forky will apparently face an existential crisis in the flick, as the drastic change of his identity as a spork to a plaything leads him to question his true purpose.
Meanwhile, Child’s Play - which is about Chucky the killer doll and his murderous rampage - is getting a fresh reboot, as teased by the flick’s poster.
Both toy-themed flicks will drop at the same time on June 21, 2019 - a fact which will certainly prove to be a marketing gold mine. We can’t wait to see how the two will capitalize on their unlikely rivalry.
Maybe a creepy Woody doll at the Child’s Play premiere is in order?
