High School Musical: The Musical: The Series which gave us new generation stars Olivia Rodrigo and Joshua Bassett among the other talented new breed of wildcats will be back at Disney+ with a new season. This time, we will all get a little bit of Deja Vu as some of the original movie cast members are joining in on the fun!
Corbin Bleu who played Troy Bolton’s best friend and co-captain Chad will be coming back after his short stint last season with Lucas Grabeel, Sharpay’s twin, and also fabulous choreographer Ryan Evans. KayCee Stroh who played the hip-hop-loving brainiac cheerleader Martha also had an appearance during season 1.

However, it has been revealed at D23 that season 4 of the series would revolve around a storyline featuring filming of a fictionalized High School Musical 4: The Reunion movie.
Yes, that means the OG cast members need to come back and reprise their former roles and also play semi-fictionalized versions of themselves.
Joining the three OG Wildcats in the new season are Monique Coleman, Bart Johnson, and Alyson Reed as Taylor McKessie, Coach Bolton, and Ms. Darbus respectively.
Disney+ has yet to reveal the series release date or the appearances of more beloved OG Wildcats.
But who knows, right? The movie’ leads Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens BOTH posted on Instagram that they were back on campus without spilling any deets. One can only hope that we’ll be seeing all of them in this together soon.
