Well, this ain’t something you see every day
A video of a funeral procession in Pampanga just went viral for featuring a not-so-average set of mourners.
Instead of the weeping crowd we’re all accustomed to seeing, this specific audience seem to be in high spirits, as they even dance and jump to the tune of Momoland’s ‘Bboom Bboom.’
Jennary Perez captioned her video: ‘Libing to the tune of Boom boom (momoland) Ba’t nga naman kailangan malungkot, eh kung pwede naman maging masaya?’

In an interview with Inquirer.net, Perez revealed that this is actually a gimmick by Sunga Mallari Funeral Homes of Masantol town, where she works in as a singer.
She adds that the songs were personally requested by the relatives.
‘Huling habilin ng patay na kapag inilibing siya ay dapat maging masaya ang libing niya,’ Perez shares.
And while it might seem to be an uncommon sight to many - and even disturbing to some - Perez insists that it’s actually a common occurrence in her hometown.
In fact, this type of funeral is in heavy demand among the funeral home’s customers.
And for Perez, who has been in the business for 7 years, she actually prefers to see the mourners in this light.
‘Para samin po, mas ok yung nakikita namin sila masaya kaysa sa nahihimatay sila sa kakaiyak.’
She also adds that she is proud of her job, even more so as these happy funerals increase in popularity.
