Disney has finally revealed the castlist for their upcoming ‘Little Mermaid’ live adaptation – and we’re wishing on starfishes for the best.
Though Chloe X Halle’s Halle Bailey as Ariel was announced as early as last year, it’s only now that we’re finding out just how strong the cast can be, with fan favorites like ‘Hamilton’’s Daveed Diggs as Sebastian, comedienne Awkwafina as Scuttle, Javier Bardem as King Triton, and more
Though it looks to be a pretty solid lineup, Disney hasn’t exactly got the neatest track record when it comes to their modern adaptations, as advanced CGI and a blue Will Smith just can’t beat childhood nostalgia.
Not to mention that their 2020 ‘Mulan‘ adaptation flopped at the box office amidst the pandemic and, you know, the whole #BoycottMulan debacle.
