Ibalik ang korona sa Pilipinas!

Hindi lang ginalaw ang baso, binasag pa!

Miss Universe Philippines 2023 opened its applications this month for the next phenomenal, transformational Filipino that will represent the country, and apart from some familiar faces returning to the competition, some pageant fan favorites finally gave the fans what they want.

After the longest wait, fashion blogger and content creator Angelique Manto finally sent in her application to Miss Universe Philippines 2023.

In an Instagram post, the former UAAP courtside reporter best known for saying “ibalik ang korona sa España” shared that the day was special to her not only because she was taking a big step towards her dream, but because this day also brought her biggest heartbreak eight years ago- her father’s passing. The moment felt like a full circle according to Manto and she is grateful for the support her leap met.

Miss Grand International Philippines 2021 Samantha Panlilio also broke the Internet as she quite literally broke the glass. The former Binibining Pilipinas queen joins this year’s edition of Miss Universe Philippines which she also shared on Instagram saying “if destiny permits”.

Apart from being an artist and businesswoman, Samantha is also a sustainability advocate.

Confirming assumptions of her competing again this year, Miss Universe Philippines Tourism 2022 Michelle Dee attended today’s in-person screening, ready to take the stage once more.

Michelle is a heavy fan favorite due to her powerful advocacy on Autism and her stellar performance as Miss World Philippines 2019.
