The ‘world’s smartest mask’ is designed like a gaming PC

With products that have definitely been part of people’s gaming journey, Razer is a well-known brand among gamers and the e-sports community. Apart from its devices, its high-tech face mask Project Hazel (now called Razer Zephyr), is holding a search for selected people to get try it out and get first dibs on it.

The tech company posted a link to their community beta test on Twitter. Applicants must agree to provide the company with photos and feedback to share across its channels. They should also input their name, country, e-mail, social media links, and the reason why they want to be part of the test.

Razer Zephyr was unveiled as “Project Hazel” earlier in January 2021. It was described as a “smart mask built for the pandemic era.” It has a futuristic touch, with RGB lights that remind you of a gaming PC. It’s also has a transparent front cover that allows people to see your mouth, and it comes with a built-in microphone and speaker to amplify your voice.

The high-tech mask’s most important feature of all: it has active air ventilation similar to an N95 mask that claims to protect you against COVID-19. It also doesn’t cause breath fogs which are convenient for people with eyeglasses.

Razer posted a recent video on their advanced face mask and it shows that it appears a bit wider and rounder than the previous photos. While there aren’t any announcements on new designs and when the testing will roll out, you can watch the video below or sign up here.
