Over the recent years, many memes and theories have ruined your childhood memories. But it seems like one of your Disney faves, Winnie the Pooh to be exact, will soon have a sinister twist. The bear will be featured in an upcoming film called Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey.
The movie’s IMDB page only states that it’s a “horror retelling of the famous legend” of Winnie the Pooh. The site also released photos that showed a glimpse of what to expect, like Winnie possibly being an actual human who’s just wearing a chilling bear mask.
Based on another still, Piglet might also be part as he’s seen creeping up to a girl together with Winnie. There’s also a young cast involved, appearing to be the victims of the individuals behind the mask.

A.A. Milne’s children’s book about the beloved bear entered the public domain on January 1, 2022. This means that the creators behind the horror movie didn’t need Disney’s approval to use Winnie, whose 95 years of copyright had already expired.
Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey is an independent flick helmed by Rhys Frake-Waterfield. IMDB posted that the main cast members include Amber Doig-Thorne, Danielle Scott, Maria Taylor, Christ Cordell, and more. The movie’s release date is yet to be announced.
Online users had different takes on the bloody spin on Winnie the Pooh. On Twitter, some questioned the upcoming movie’s theme, while others love the idea of it entering the public domain.
WHAT THE FUCK?! WHO WATCHED/READ WINNIE THE POOH AS A CHILD AND THOUGHT "You know what? This will make a compelling horror film one day"?! https://t.co/cVUEfL2Qq6

Winnie the Pooh is being made into a R-rated horror film. Yes, really.
This is why I love the public domain. pic.twitter.com/ZuEWwZ7WJg

Not even a full year after Winnie the Pooh becomes public domain and y’all are already turning him into a serial killer. What does that say about humanity?
