We watched Alyas Robin Hood’s first ever encounter with a nemesis (hence, the title was called Ang unang kalaban ni Pepe) and quite frankly, we were electrified with laughter because damn fam, we didn’t know it was an actual comedy!
It starts out with Dingdong Dantes aka Pepe giving the bad guy (Of course he’s the bad guy, just look at that flamin’ red hairdo) a Green Flamed Inferno shot (with some pretty standard Philippine fxs right there). The bad guy calls himself Gino and tells Pepe he doesn’t like the color of the flame.
After the little intro, Gino tells Pepe, “May mensahe ang boss ko sa boss mo.” And then he brings out the gun (LOOK CLOSELY AT THE MOTHERFREAKIN’ GUN).
Look at that cute little thing! My Nerf gun doesn’t stand a chance.
They then break out into a fight scene with Dingdong battling him with a fire extinguisher (which also btw has pretty nice fxs)! Looks like the prod team wanted a #TipidNation clip (which is super practical)!
Then Pepe travels on a bus (with Miss World 2013 Megan Young beside him btw) and clearly, you can see Gino following close with his car with the flame-decals (WHO COULD THAT BE?!). Of course, to keep a close eye, he needs his trusty little toy binoculars!
At a stop, Pepe tells the bus conductor to go ahead without him in fear of everyone else’s safety (such a chivalrous guy!), and hitches a ride with Kuya Tric just to have a faceoff with the pyromaniac red haired guy. Kuya Tric driver clearly has a very particular set of skills, skills he has acquired over a very long career because he just drove Pepe to safety, away from Gino.
And our favorite part is all the reactions in the comments section.
While we aren’t sure if this is sarcastic or some people are just blind
We saw more credible and humane responses to the episode
But y’all know who the real MVP is from all this air time
