Are you psyched to watch “The Greatest Showman”? We are! We can’t wait to watch Hugh Jackman, Michelle Williams, Zac Efron, Zendaya and the rest of the cast sing their hearts out.
Atlantic records released full clips of two musical numbers in the film, promising the movie-going public a mesmerizing time in the theaters.
Here’s Broadway veteran Keala Settle as the bearded lady Lettie Lutz, leading the ensemble of circus ‘freaks’ and belting her head off in the Golden Globe-winning song “This is me.”
This is Swedish actress Rebecca Ferguson as the famous 1800s Swedish nightingale Jenny Lind, acting out the hauntingly beautiful ballad “Never Enough” – the gorgeous singing voice was lent by Loren Allred, former The Voice US contestant.
We were hoping they’d release the full clip of “Rewrite the Stars” where Zac Efron and Zendaya’s characters profess their attraction to each other while doing aerial acrobatics. In the meantime, we’ll settle for this partial but still dreamy clip.
Bonus: This is Keala rehearsing “This is me” with equally badass back-up singers in a sitzprobe where she not only sings the song – she embodies the lyrics of the song and performs it through tears. The moment is explosively jaw-dropping and it’s one of the best depictions of that certain but indescribable high we non-singers will never ever get. Try not to cry!
“The Greatest Showman” will be shown in Philippine theaters on January 31, 2018. Mark your calendars!
