Dubbed as ‘Omegle, but better’, UPdate initially lets people chat with their fellow Iskos and Iskas anonymously. Once both parties feel that they have established a mutual connection, they have the option to reveal their profiles to one another.
For security purposes, those who only have access to a UP email address can sign up, discouraging random strangers from abusing the service.
Judging by its Facebook page, the entire shtick seems to have been inspired by a post on UP Diliman’s Freedom Wall, which sees an anonymous user clamoring for a similar type of service.
