Underrated bops: Sam Cruz, Paolo Sandejas, Silvy and more

Welcome to our Hidden Gems Playlist, We The Pvblic’s spotlight on under-the-radar drops you might’ve missed.

Today’s compilation features a little bit of everything: an anthem about body positivity, certified head boppers, and more. But as always, all are guaranteed bops.

Silvy (XL)

When doom and gloom have left us all wrecked physically and mentally, sometimes a reminder of ‘hey, you’re doing awesome’ is the pick-me-up we need. ‘XL’, a banger by Thai-Italian artist Silvy, is an example.

The track is fierce and determined in its message of body positivity and self-love. Coupled with a killer marching beat, XL serves as a much-needed solid morale booster during our downtimes.

Kyle Juliano (I Need You Now)

‘R&B is the greatest music genre’ is a hill we’re willing to die on, and Kyle Juliano only solidifies our claim with ‘I Need You Now’. Together with Sam Akins, Juliano gifts us a soothing groove and a sexy vibe as he croons about our unhealthy preference for less-than-ideal relationships. This one is for the marupok at heart.

Bianca Tanega (Godsent)

Newcomer Bianca Tanega debuts on the scene with ‘Godsent’, a track about being lovestruck in a relationship that feels too good to be true. ‘Lovestruck’ is exactly what we are with this track, with Tanega’s smoother than smooth vocals perfectly complimenting Godsent’s easygoing feel. Too good to be true, indeed.

P:6 and Sam Cruz (Changes)

Hip-hop duo P:6 collabs with up-and-comer Sam Cruz for ‘Changes‘, a track about facing the shifts and turns that life throws at us, especially during these hard times. Personally, we wouldn’t change a thing about Changes, as P:6’s hypnotic beats seamlessly vibe with Sam Cruz’s dreamy aura.

Paolo Sandejas (Never Knew Love Like This Before)

The ever-so-underrated Paolo Sandejas is a reliable go-to whenever we want something easy and relaxing at the end of the day. This indie-pop take on the disco classic ‘Never Knew Love Like This Before’ proves our point, with Paolo’s carefree mood giving out just the right kind of energy anyone could enjoy and latch on to.
