Welcome to ICYMI, We The Pvblic’s weekly spotlight on fresh, under-the-radar drops you might’ve missed.
For this week, we’ve got a fresh single, EP, and a full album. It’s a perfect mix if you’re in for just a quick bite, or if you’ve got loads of free time to just sit down and chill.
Album – Project Moonman (Gemini)
So who drops an album just for the heck of it? The guys at Project Moonman, that’s who. True to the vibe of their label, this band under OC Records released ‘Gemini’, an experimental compilation of songs that has something to offer for purveyors of any type of mood.
If you’re looking for something upbeat, try Sunny Day. If soothing is your vibe, listen to Healing. Personally, we’d go for Feel Your Love, since we’re fans of anything that can make our heads bop.
EP – dia matè (Don’t Quote Me)
Fresh from her collab with IV of Spade’s Blaster Silonga, dia matè releases her 4-track EP ‘Dont Quote Me’.
We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: the 19-year-old R&B artist is becoming our go-to when we’re in need of some relaxing, melancholic tunes at the end of a long day. Faded is a standout.
Single – huhsmile (Walang Aminan)
Alright, we’ll just say it straight: this track is adorable. When we’re all busy getting stuck in the trappings of adulting, it’s nice to hear songs as innocent as Walang Aminan from huhsmile.
The single ukeleles its way to depict that push-pull feeling you get when you’re lowkey crushing (or maybe even falling in love) for someone. It’s a song that won’t be out of place in one of those romantic, meet-cute movies, or when you’re daydreaming in the comforts of your bedroom.
