Many Filipinos are still wrapping their heads around the partial and unofficial count released by the Commission on Elections. The presidential frontrunner is the only son and namesake of the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos, and his running mate Sara Duterte-Carpio tops the vice-presidential list. Meanwhile, action star Robin Padilla leads the Senate race.
While some online users share that they want to migrate abroad after seeing the initial results, others said that they’re still willing to fight for the country – including prominent actresses, actors, directors, and singers from the country.
On Instagram, actress Angel Locsin expressed how she witnessed a different kind of passion as a supporter of VP Leni Robredo’s candidacy. She also said that she was proud to have fought beside her fellow volunteers.
Locsin added, ‘Lumaban tayo hindi para sa isang tao, kundi para sa bayan. Kaya kahit matatapos na ang bilangan. Piliin pa rin natin ang bayan. Piliin pa rin natin ang Pilipinas.’

Meanwhile, Goin’ Bulilit child actor John Manalo also expressed his sentiments on the platform. He described the unofficial election results as “Nakakakilabot. Nakakagalit. Nakakasuka. Nakakadiri.” He also mentioned that the poor will remain poor, while the rich will get even richer.
Manalo closed his post and said, ‘Ang sakit lang magmahal sa bansang ito. Para bang parte ng kaning kinamay at napanis. Damay damay lahat.’
On Twitter, vice presidential candidate Sen. Kiko Pangilinan’s daughter, Kakie, who said, ‘It’s ok. Tuloy ang laban.’
Kakie also went to protest in front of the Palacio del Gobernador a day after COMELEC released the partial results. She said to the media, ‘I am not going to have my president be named Ferdinand Marcos again.’
There were also numerous personalities who let out their frustrations, but also tried shedding a ray of hope. This includes siblings Gabriel and Kiana Valenciano, Zild Benitez, Director JP Habac, and Director Antoinette Jadaone among many others.

We need to continue to fight against the biggest threat to our democracy and society: DISINFORMATION.
Di ko alam kung paano, kung gaano katagal, at oo nakakapanghina ng loob, pero kung sama sama tayo, we stand a chance. Kailangan natin labanan para sa mga susunod na henerasyon.

Why is COMELEC claiming no one complained? EVERYONE was complaining today. Supporters of each candidate were complaining today because you made them wait hours for nothing. @COMELEC

Nakakagalit.

Today must be the start of the campaign for 2028 Presidential elections. Sino ang makakatalo kay Sara as President? Sana mahaba-habang preparasyon naman. Hindi na sana last minute. Prepare us too.
(Ito ay syempre kung may demokrasya pa.)
