ICYMI, Tony Labrusca found himself in danger of being deported earlier this year when he was involved in an altercation at NAIA.
Aside from his alleged mistreatment of immigration officers, a NAIA staff member also revealed that the Fil-Am actor was supposedly working in the country without the proper papers, as he is considered as a foreign national who only possessed a tourist visa.
But as recently revealed by Pep.ph, it seems that the ‘Glorious’ star has gotten over this speedbump, as confirmed by director Joey Reyes.
The filmmaker posted a couple photos of him and Tony on the former’s Instagram
The two are currently working on ‘Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank 3.’
IG user @grj781 commented on one of the pics, asking if the actor has already secured his working visa
Direk Joey replied, ‘Yes, he has acquired the work permit. Otherwise, he would not be on the set.’
However, Pep was quick to point out that even if the 23-year-old has acquired a work permit, the Intelligence Division at the Bureau of Immigration (BI) is still mulling if they will file a deportation complaint against the actor.
Tony himself has filed an appeal for the BI to recognized him as a Filipino citizen.
