Abel Tesfaye, popularly known as The Weeknd, dropped a new album called “My Dear Melancholy” and fans are going gaga combing through the songs and then concluding that the album is practically inspired by his failed relationship with Selena Gomez.
One song in particular screams Selena, Selena, Selena! Entitled “Call Out My Name,” the song is generally a lamentation for a lost love but there’s one line that sounds quite an allusion to Selena’s reported kidney transplant.
It goes, “I said I didn’t feel nothing, baby, but I lied / I almost cut a piece of myself for your life.”
Are you thinking what we’re thinking? He offered her his kidney, y’all!
And then he gets acerbic, pouring out his thoughts on their breakup and the fact that, just days after that, Selena was photographed hanging out with her ex, Justin Bieber.
“Guess I was just another pit stop / ‘Til you made up your mind / You just wasted my time.”
Some netizens are thanking Selena for making The Weeknd go through such pain that caused him to make this well-received new album.

Ultimately gotta give thanks to Justin Bieber for snatching back Selena Gomez, in which she broke Abel’s heart. As a result, giving us The Weeknd’s: “ My Dear Melancholy, “ album.
