The Script is set to drop their sixth album ‘Sunsets & Full Moons’ this November. The Irish act, known for hits such as ‘Breakeven’ and ‘The Man Who Can’t Be Moved’, will also embark on a UK tour next year.
Per Heart UK, the newest LP is seen as a sequel to the band’s 2008 self-titled album, as both were recorded during the most unfortunate of times.
Lead singer Danny O’Donoghue, whose father passed away during the first album’s debut, recently lost his mom during the creation of The Script’s latest outing. Both parents said goodbye on Valentine’s Day.
‘I think it’s the most poignant record we’ve ever made.’
Our music was always about being together with the audience, and writing about your own feelings, and sharing them.’ says Danny, before adding that there’s always daylight ‘no matter how deep and dark it gets.’
The Script last performed in PH 2017 as part of their ‘Freedom Child’ tour. Here’s hoping we see the boys back in Manila soon!
