Just in time for their Netflix debut
Per Hypebeast, two Studio Ghibli movies ‘Kiki’s Delivery Service’ and ‘Porco Rosso’ are set to drop their iridescent soundtracks in vinyl form.
The scores were crafted by veteran composer Joe Hisaishi, who’s also worked on most Studio Ghibli films such ‘Spirited Away’, ‘My Neighbor Totoro’, ‘Howl’s Moving Castle’, ‘Castle in the Sky’, and more.
The vinyl soundtracks will be available in the New York music store Turntable Lab and their website this coming March.
Studio Ghibli’s scores have long been renowned for their otherworldly tunes and grand compositions, which makes sense when you find out Hisaishi has won the Japanese Academy Award for Best Music Score 7 times.
