If you’ve never seen Dua Lipa‘s latest single “New Rules” music video, you better check it now because these Filipino cheerleaders from St. Paul College – Pasig’s recreation of the video is flawless.
In the video, Dua Lipa‘s friends help the singer from having a breakup backslide in the synchronized “New Rules” music video.
And in the cheerleaders’ video, they mention they misspelled the singer’s name on purpose to “Dua Flip” because duh, they do flips — quite greatly if we may add.
Check out the comparisons:
My love, he makes me feel like nobody else
Don’t pick up the phone, you know he’s only calling ’cause he’s drunk and alone
And if you’re under him, you ain’t getting over him
I got new rules, I count ’em.
I keep pushin’ forwards, but he keeps pullin’ me backwards
(Nowhere to turn, no way)
(Nowhere to turn, no)
But my love, he doesn’t love me, so I tell myself, I tell myself I do, I do, I do
The swan dive
Dua Lipa would be proud.
