Sarah Geronimo and James Reid are going to star in the Filipino version of “Miss Granny” directed by Joyce Bernal.
Just like the South Korean comedy-drama film in 2014 which was directed by Hwang Dong-hyuk, Fely (played by Nova Villa) is an elderly woman who realizes she’s become a burden to her family. She finds a second chance at youth when she visits a mysterious photo studio.
The trailer focuses on the complications of Fely living with her son and her daughter-in-law, showing how much of a hothead Fely can be.
The teaser also showed how Fely fiercely fought for her grandson (James Reid) and his aspiration to become a musician.
There’s no official release date for the film, but we know Sarah Geronimo is going to play the youthful body of Fely as she takes on the quest for happiness.
