ICYMI, Safeguard Philippines has gone viral for an ad/music video titled Hugas Na Rin ‘Yan‘. In the clip, an animated mascot called Fred D’ Germ collabs with real-life rapper Gloc-9 to preach about proper handwashing.

The entire video is basically one big flex in animation, as it transitions from one visual style to the other, with scenes reminiscent of kiddie morning shows, 2D cartoons, and Robot Chicken episodes.

Arguably, the most badass scene is the rap battle by the end, which features a rotoscoped version of Gloc-9. The artist flows through the motions as his image glitches and the verses pop-out around him.

According to a Facebook post from Acid House, the team who designed the impressive take, the project involved a ‘massive collaboration’ between 5 studios so it could be pulled off in just 3 weeks. For their part, Acid House credited a 4-man crew for the shot’s design, roto, and 2D effects.

Iffy crunch deadlines aside, the video has been a massive hit on social, garnering 2M Facebook views and 1M on YouTube.
