If you missed seeing the Rugrats gang together on one screen, then Nickelodeon and Paramount+’s latest offering will definitely keep you excited with their upcoming reboot series. The 1991 show you remember watching has transformed into CGI renderings of your favorite characters.

The pilot episode titled “Second Time Around” follows an hour-long story of Tommy and his big attempt to be brave and save Chuckie. He leads the babies on a daring adventure, but then things go south. While staying true to Rugrats’ fashion, dinosaurs make an appearance in this episode.  Second Time Around will establish the first set of episodes in the series. The rollout of the succeeding episodes is to be announced in the future, according to Yahoo! Life.

The series will also feature the voices of the OG cast from the first-ever cartoon: Cheryl Chase (Angelica Pickles), E.G. Daily (Tommy Pickles), Cree Summer (Susie Carmichael), Nancy Cartwright (Chuckie Finster), and Kath Soucie (Phil and Lil DeVille).

‘Rugrats is one of the most iconic cartoons recognized by fans around the globe, and this original version is one we are taking great care and pride in creating for a brand-new audience,’ said Pres. of Nickelodeon Animation Ramsey Naito as per Vulture.

The new Rugrats series debuts on May 27 via Paramount +.
