He looks good, ngl
Science’s ‘most handsome man in the world’ has officially put on the cape and cowl – and we’re digging it. Matt Reeves, who’s directing 2021’s ‘The Batman’, has shared a screen test featuring Robert Pattinson in motion as the Caped Crusader.

The newest Batsuit seems to have opted for a more armor-laden look, similar to the one in the 2015 videogame Arkham Knight.
Pattinson, who took over the role from Ben Affleck, will also play a much younger version of Bruce Wayne, which might suggest that we’re in for an adaptation of the ‘Year One’ storyline. The story chronicles the early years of Batman’s crime-fighting career.
The screen test also features music from Michael Giacchino, who will serve as the composer for the film.
In an interview with Variety, Pattinson said that he actively pursued the role of Batman once he heard that a reboot was in the works, as he grew up a fan of the Tim Burton movies. And just like any Bat-fan, he says putting on the suit is one heck of an experience.
‘I remember saying to Matt [Reeves], ‘It does feel quite transformative!’, he shared. ‘He was like, ‘I would hope it does! You’re literally in the Batsuit.’
And in case you’re one of those who still crucify him for his Twilight days, Pattinson has since flexed his acting chops in critically acclaimed roles, such as in 2019’s ‘The King’ and ‘The Lighthouse’, which premiered at Cannes.
With Batfleck being arguably the best live-action take we’ve had so far, here’s hoping Battinson lives up to the hype.
