It’s 2020, When’s the album coming out, Rihanna?

Timezones are a weird thing. When Los Angeles finally entered 2020, it was already January 2nd in the Philippines. On that note, it means Rihanna had an extra day to release her promised album.

Here’s everybody’s evidence that 2019 is THE year for R9. In December 2018, a fan commented on Rihanna’s Instagram post asking about the album and she responded with this:

R9 When?, It’s 2020, When’s the album coming out, Rihanna?

During her Ocean’s 8 press junket in June 2018, she confirmed that she is indeed making new music. She even asked the host, Graham Norton, which of her fans paid him to ask her about the album and its release date.

In May 2019, RiRi told T Magazine that she is going to have a reggae inspired album. But come July, it’s revealed that she was just trolling her fans when she posted a video meme on Instagram with a woman saying “It was all a lie”. Looks like she knows what she’s doing to y’all.

Fast forward to 2020, her fans are still as pressed but they’re now taking lighthearted jabs at the matter.

Miss Bad Gal’s been receiving threats, and she don’t give a shit.

Some of the fans also tweeted how they plan to steal R9 from Rihanna’s computer.

Oh Bad Gal! Looks like they don’t love the way you lie. But you still got the last laugh. 🤷‍♀️
