At the young age of 9, Paralympian Josh Sundquist lost his leg to cancer.
Despite the devastating disability, John wasn’t one to be put down.
The US Amputee Soccer member is also an accomplished skier, comedian, author and motivational speaker.
But the one thing that made him go viral was his penchant for witty Halloween costumes over the years.
In 2010, he went as the Gingerbread Man with his leg bitten off.
For 2012, he cosplayed a lamp
2013: a Flamingo
2014: A Table Football figure
2015: An IHOP sign
2018: As The Genie
Apparently, it had always been Josh’s dream to be a Disney animator before cancer claimed his leg.
Following his amputation, he received a letter from Disney Animator Broose Johnson, who happened to be a double amputee. Josh later got to meet him thru the Make-a-Wish foundation.
Broose’s letter to Josh also contained The Genie – which was one of the characters Broose animated.
‘This year I wanted to dress as Genie as a tribute to Broose, to Make-A-Wish, and, of course, to Robin Williams’
