The sequel to Erik Matti’s critically acclaimed film ‘On The Job’ now has an official release date, as confirmed by the director in an interview with Variety.
Originally planned as a six-part miniseries, ‘On The Job 2’ will now be a full-length feature and is set to debut on June 12, 2019. It will be then followed up by a five-part miniseries.
The flick is expected to wrap up production in February 2019.
‘On The Job’ – which starred Joel Torre and Gerald Anderson as inmates hired as hitmen by politicians – is often credited as the movie that redefined Matti as a genre-breaking director.
‘On the Job 2’ features a whole new cast in John Arcilla, Dennis Trillo, Ricky Davao, Lotlot de Leon, William Martinez, Dante Rivero, Vandolph Quizon, and Eric Fructuoso.
