NBA 2K21 shows off insane next-gen gameplay

New hardware, new look

It seems 2K is making the most out of the next-generation consoles, as it recently dropped a jaw-dropping gameplay demo for NBA 2k21 on the Playstation 5.

Aside from the photorealistic features of the players, the footage looks like a real-life arena, from the Luka Doncic’s entrance, the busy pre-game arena, and fans that seem excited to no longer be just cloned stand-ins.

According to Endgadget, 2K shared that the animations systems were one of the main points of improvement, noting that there are ‘more than 150 unique AI-driven characters interacting seamlessly’ in the lower half of the court alone.

‘Never before have we been able to deliver this level of visual fidelity and realism in a video game’, said Visual Concepts president Greg Thomas.

‘NBA 2K21 is the standout title that best delivers the promise of next-gen: truly revolutionary graphics, lightning-fast load times, and incredible new features and gameplay only possible on next-generation hardware’.
