My My My! Troye Sivan is kicking off 2018 with a bang

If there’s someone who knows how to grab 2018 by the balls, it’s pop star Troye Sivan.

On January 7, the 22-year-old openly gay South African-born Australian singer was announced as the face of the Valentino spring 2018 menswear campaign.

Three days after, he released the music video of his first single, called ‘My My My!’, off his sophomore album, slated to be released sometime in the second quarter. The song’s captivating rhythm is brought to perfection by its seductive but not oversexualized video where Troye is seen dancing alone sensually in an empty warehouse and is later joined by equally good-looking men. No bodies were shown grinding up against each other, but the video, which has now over 11 million views on YouTube, is nevertheless hot AF!

Just over the weekend, he fulfilled his dream of guesting on Saturday Night Live where he got to perform a skit with resident comedienne Kate McKinnon and do his first live TV performance of “My My My!”. Troye rocked the song with the same sensual flair on the video, but this time sporting a wet-hair look and exploiting the dramatic effects of a wind machine.

He also introduced and performed his second single called “The Good Side,” a tender acoustic ballad, which, he reveals, is an apology to a former flame he had a rough break-up with. He calls it the saddest track on his forthcoming album. If you loved the sad balladry in Sufjan Steven’s songs in “Call Me By Your Name,” you’ll love “The Good Side” just as much.

Troye is also set to appear in Boy Erased, the upcoming movie adaption of Garrard Conley’s 2016 memoir about his time in a gay conversion camp. He joins Nicole Kidman, Russell Crowe and Lucas Hedges in the film, which will be under the helm of actor-director Joel Egerton.

Things are looking swell for Troye and he sure knows how to celebrate being young, talented, carefree and horny.
