Miles reunites with Spider-Gwen in first Spider-Verse 2 trailer


Spider-Man fans already have something to look forward to next year since the Spider-Man Into the Spider-Verse sequel’s trailer already dropped. Called Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Part One), the title unveils that it’s actually the first of two movies that will follow the story of Miles Morales and fellow spider-powered friends.

The much-awaited film’s debut trailer presents Miles (Shameik Moore) listening to the OG Sunflower soundtrack as Spider-Gwen (Hailee Steinfeld) appears through a portal. It also teases how Miguel O’Hara a.k.a. Spider-Man 2099 (Oscar Isaac) battles with Miles in a colorful Multiverse. The 2-minute trailer will surely make you miss the animated friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, just see for yourself below.

Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, the film’s returning writer-producer Phil Lord and Christ Miller said, ‘Miles’ story is an epic. We wrote what we thought the story needed to be, and to our surprise we realized it was two movies instead of one.’

‘We’re working on them both as we speak,’ they revealed. ‘Part Two will be out sometime in 2023. We will sleep again in 2024.’

While the newly released trailer shows the wunderkind along with two other characters, it’s yet to be revealed if other familiar Spider-People will also be part. Lord and Miller said, ‘Miles will reunite with some old friends and meet… a lot of new ones.’

Meanwhile, Spider-Man enthusiasts expressed their thoughts on Twitter. With Spider-Man: No Way Home soon hitting the cinemas and a new spidey-filled trailer, there’s no wonder why one user said that “life is soo good” at the moment.
