2/4 of The Plastics have shared that they’re down to shoot a sequel for the 2004 cult classic ‘Mean Girls‘ – and that’s pretty damn grool.

Lindsay Lohan started the conversation on a possible reunion during an interview with fellow actor David Spade, sharing that she had just been waiting for the sequel opportunity all these years.

‘I wanted to come back with a Mean Girls 2 with the same cast, work with Tina [Fey], and the whole crew again, But that’s all in their hands, really.’

A few days later, castmate and OG HBIC Rachel McAdams expressed interest in reprising her role as Head Plastic Regina George during a Heroes of Health livestream for Coronavirus frontliners.

‘It would be fun to play Regina George later in her life and see where life took her!’

Considering it’s been 16 years since the original film, we’ll likely see The Plastics adulting and handling the troubles that come with it.

TBH, we’re placing our bets on a suburban power mom Regine George, jet-setting Cady Heron, and an entrepreneurial Gretchen Weiners. Karen would prob still be with her dream job of weather forecasting – given that she has ‘ESPN or something‘.

Meanwhile, ‘Mean Girls‘ creator and comedian Tina Fey has been cooking up her own adaptations of the North Shore girls, as the franchise dropped an official Broadway musical just last year.
