Underrated series

ICYMI, Netflix’s animated anthology ‘Love, Death, and Robots‘ is set to drop its second season this 2021.

The news comes from a teaser by Netflix featuring their upcoming slate of titles for 2021. The massive list features tons of new streaming content like ‘Alice in Borderland’ S2, ‘Lucifer’ S5 Part B, the Zendaya-starred ‘Malcolm & Marie’, and more.

‘I’m just going to leave this right here.’

ICYDK, ‘Love, Death, and Robots’ features a ‘Black Mirror’-esque concept, with each episode following a different existential post-apocalyptic narrative created with different animation styles.

‘Midnight movies, comics, books and magazines of fantastic fiction have inspired me for decades, but they were relegated to the fringe culture of geeks and nerds of which I was a part,’ shared series co-creator and ‘Deadpool’ director Tim Miller on the show’s inspo.

‘I’m so fucking excited that the creative landscape has finally changed enough for adult-themed animation to become part of a larger cultural conversation.’

Meanwhile, its first season was released back in the pre-Rona era of March 2019, as S2 production was stalled amidst the pandemic. There’s no word just yet when the second season will drop this year, as it was initially slated for a late 2020 release.

Can’t wait for more animation gold
