What, like it’s hard?
Time to prep your Harvard video essays, as a third installment of the ‘Legally Blonde‘ franchise has just been announced – and Reese Witherspoon is still onboard.
ICYDK, 2001’s ‘Legally Blonde’ follows sorority girl Elle Woods as she navigates Harvard Law School despite the judgment of her overwhelming ‘blondeness‘.
Seriously, it’s one of the best chick flicks of the early 2000s – as it’s also spawned 2003’s equally-acclaimed ‘Legally Blonde 2’.
The third film will be penned by remarkable comedienne Mindy Kaling (The Office, Never Have I Ever) and frequent co-writer, Brooklyn 99’s Dan Goor. Talk about upcoming comedy gold.
Despite the writers and Reese’s participation already announced, there’s still no details on the plotline and film’s possible release date amidst the ongoing pandemic.
Although, it should be interesting to see Elle 17 years later and living in today’s modern world – as the second film actually ended with Elle claiming she’s headed to the White House.
Go forth, spirit animal
