PH Karen, everyone
After going viral for ringing true his most viral ‘meme’ and wearing a face shield with the surgical mask literally taped inside, Atty. Larry Gadon is back at it again with more Karen-level claims.
Maskless in front of reporters yesterday, Gadon said that that Department of Health (DOH) has been exaggerating the risks of COVID-19 and that he doesn’t believe wearing face masks can prevent its spread.
Before we continue, please don’t take his words as the truth.
‘I don’t believe in the DOH. I’ve been around more than 20 hospitals and COVID centers giving away donations and I didn’t get COVID,’ Gadon said, in pvblic without a mask, in front of the Supreme Court yesterday.
‘To tell you the truth, COVID is curable. DOH is putting so much fear in us. The economy stopped to a halt because of all that fear-mongering.
‘COVID is curable. If at the onset, you cure it with medicines like Lianhua [Qingwen], your COVID won’t progress. DOH is doing so much to scare us. I don’t believe them.’
TBH, the only thing we got out of that is that those microphones ought to be sanitized.

In true fashion, he was quickly told off by the Philippine National Police (PNP) and DOH, as he would face consequences if he continued to ‘mislead people’.
‘Kami we hear these kinds of things, we continue with our work. Itutuloy namin. Nirerespeto namin ang opinyon nila, nirerespeto ang opinyon ng bawat isa,‘ said DOH Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire.
Gadon has had his fair share of issues with other gov’t departments for his words, as he was previously suspended for 3 months by the Department of Justice for ‘using abusive and offensive language in professional dealings.’
He shared the statement amidst 203,000 confirmed cases and 3,000 deaths in the country, with PH leading South East Asia’s COVID-19 count.
He said so himself
