Fresh from the release of their newest album Diwa, juan karlos has announced an indefinite hiatus. The OPM band dropped the news during their recent livestream ‘BRB’ (Be Right Back) where they performed their latest songs for the benefit of the PGH Medical Foundation.
‘I’ll be going away for a while. Indefinitely’, said frontman JK Labajo.
‘I hope everyone stays safe and hopefully when I get back, whenever that might be, I’ll be able to perform my music to you in person. Thank you, everyone, and goodbye’.
juan karlos later made it official on an FB post, writing ‘Matagal akong mawawala. Salamat. Ingat. Hanggang sa muli. Paalam’, much to the dismay of their fans.

However, juan karlos still has one parting gift left in store. The music video for their latest single Bless Ü is set to drop sometime this week. The track first made news for its decision to donate a portion of its revenue streams to UP-PGH’s COVID-19 effort: The Bayanihan Na! foundation.
Aside from the hiatus, JK Labajo previously shared with We The Pvblic a few tidbits on dealing with toxic critics and why cancel culture can be a source of unnecessary hate.
