Pretty frickin cool
Robert Downey Jr. officially bid adieu to Iron Man this year in ‘Endgame’ after 10 amazing years with the MCU. And while memes and tributes for the fallen Avenger have popped up since then, nothing comes close to the badassery done by artist Daniel Basso.
Dubbed ‘The Man of Steel‘ (throwing shade at DC), Basso created the memorial last August 9, 2019 as part of Oltre Verso Art Exhibition in Tuscany, Italy. The statue even comes with a plaque that reads:
‘The first monument dedicated to Iron Man in the year of his death in the cinematic world, we celebrate Tony Stark as a man who dedicates his life’s fortunes to fight for the ideals he believes in … reminding us that we are all the protagonists of our time — that the future of humanity depends on our decisions … that all of us must be heroes!’
The Iron Man memorial – which stands at 13 feet of pure, metallic awesomeness – made Marvel fans mushy all over again.
