The OG 90s series is (kinda) back
HBO Max has confirmed the return of everyone’s fave all-white sitcom, as an official ‘Friends‘ reunion is finally coming to the streaming service later this May.
Featuring the original stars Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer, the cast will apparently film in the show’s original set on the Warner Bros. Studio lot to shoot an ‘untitled unscripted special‘.
The one-time reunion could apparently spark a historical $1B-worth reboot if reception is favorable – which isn’t impossible given the show’s cult status.
The reunion isn’t coming for cheap too, as the cast is expected to receive $2.5M paychecks each.
At its peak, ‘Friends‘ garnered around 50 million viewers in its tenth and final season. Its last episode aired in 2004 was also the most-watched TV episode of the 1990s.
Guess they were on… a ‘BrEaK’
