Popular Korean series ‘Hotel del Luna‘ has announced that an American TV remake is in the works.

U.S. production company Skydance Media is set to produce the English rendition of the series, as they’ve also introduced a number of familiar epics on screen such as ‘Terminator‘, ‘Mission Impossible’, and Netflix’s sci-fi hit ‘Altered Carbon’.

The remake is also slated to be written by dramatic series writer Alison Schapker (Scandal, Lost).

ICYDK, Hotel Del Luna is a fantastical series about a hotel for souls who have unfinished business on Earth. Along with its occupants, the hotel is run by mysterious CEO Jang Man-Wol (IU). The series was acclaimed as the highest-rated tvN drama of 2019.

‘At its core, ‘Hotel Del Luna’ is a spectacular visual fantasy grounded in a story about the importance of human connection, lost lives, and unfinished business,shared Skydance Media CEO Bill Bost.

‘We are excited to be partnering with Alison and Studio Dragon to bring this timeless story to a global audience.’

There’s still no official release date for the project just yet, but you can check out Hotel Del Luna on Netflix in the meantime – or you know, just binge-watch it again.
