11 years since the release of pop punk band Hey Monday’s debut album ‘Hold On Tight‘, lead singer Cassadee Pope teased some major news in a cryptic tweet.
Cassadee tweeted a pic in celebration of their first album’s 11th anniversary, ending it with an eyebrow-raising ‘Psstt -Check back next Monday. #HeyItsMonday.’
Happy 11th Bday, to our pre-teen “Hold On Tight!” 🎉 I can’t believe all the places #HeyMonday took me, literally & figuratively. I owe so much of my knowledge to this band & first album. Definitely giving it a listen today in honor 😊

Although Hey Monday announced their hiatus in 2011, they emphasized that they didn’t break up for good but were instead pursuing other things as solo artists.
‘We are, however, taking a break and pursuing things on our own. I hope you all understand that this does not mean we’ll never release new music or tour ever again.’, said Cassadee.
Bands reuniting after a long hiatus isn’t new, as fellow pop punk band Fall Out Boy also got back together 3 years after their ‘indefinite hiatus‘.
