Harry Styles is apparently a superhero

This article may contain a major spoiler.

People know Harry Styles as a singer-songwriter from his days as a One Direction member up until his solo career. He was also cast in Dunkirk (2017) and has upcoming films such as Don’t Worry Darling and My Policeman. But the 27-year-old reportedly plays a superhero in the upcoming Marvel film The Eternals.

According to Variety’s film writer Matt Donnelly, Styles is now part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as he portrays the role of Eros, which is the brother of Thanos. His character is described as “an Eternal who loves life, adventure and romance, earning the nickname Knave of Hearts.”

In the OG Marvel comics, Eros was the youngest son of Eternals A’Lars and Sui-San. While he has the ability to stimulate pleasure in others, his power has no effect on his brother Thanos, who was born with Deviant Syndrome. It makes Thanos physically repulsive to others.

The Eternals was directed by Oscar-winner Chloé Zhao. It is set in a post-Endgame world, where the Eternals have been living unrecognized on Earth to battle the Deviants a.k.a. their darker counterpart and mankind’s most ancient enemy.

During the press screening of The Eternals on October 18, Screenrant mentioned that the post-credits scenes were not shown. The report reads, ‘Perhaps there’s a specific reason as to why they’re not showing the scenes just yet — one that surrounds British pop singer Harry Styles.’

However, after Donnelly revealed the singer’s appearance on Twitter, fans had mixed reactions. Some were annoyed because of the alleged “spoiler”, while others believed it and couldn’t contain their excitement. The film is set to be released on November 5 — where you’ll get to watch the whole movie and actually confirm for yourself if Harry Styles is in it.
