Commuting can be pretty hellish for pet owners, as most pvblic transports have imposed a ban on bringing animals onboard.
Grab is looking to address that problem with a new feature.
The ride-hailing app is currently beta testing ‘GrabPets’, an option which allows customers to travel with their beloved companions.
‘GrabPets’ has a specific list of animals that can avail of the service, which includes dogs, cats, and even fishes. Birds aren’t allowed tho, as air fresheners are considered toxic for the critters.
As an added caution, Grab will also be providing additional insurance for the passengers, the pets and its driver-partners. ‘GrabPets’ drivers have also received sufficient training in pet-handling.
Using the ‘GrabPets’ feature works the same way as the other Grab options. One just has to choose the service, indicate their pick-up point and destinations, and presto, it’s good to go!
The service, which kicked off last Feb 20, is currently only available in Singapore as of the moment, which is a bummer. However, here’s hoping it would be added in Grab PH’s current list of services.
