Welcome to ICYMI, We The Pvblic’s weekly spotlight on fresh, u̶n̶d̶e̶r̶-̶t̶h̶e̶-̶r̶a̶d̶a̶r̶ drops you might’ve missed.
There was a distinct lack of underrated acts who dropped music this week, but still, that won’t stop us from stanning fire releases from more well-known artists. For this week, we have Arthur Nery, Anson Seabra, and Zack Tabudlo.
Arthur Nery (Take All The Love)
We might be a bit biased considering how much we adore Arthur Nery and his music (Life Puzzle deserves a billion streams and Letters Never Sent is one of the best OPM albums of the past decade).
But Take All The Love truly is the melodic, slow-burn track we’d just love to chill and close our eyes to. Much like how the lyrics croon about giving your all to an unrequited love, we’re more than happy to adore this single to oblivion.
Anson Seabra (It’s Raining, It’s Pouring)
A master of hitting us right in the feels, Anson Seabra follows up his smash hit Walked Through Hell with It’s Raining, It’s Pouring. The somber single tells of feeling like a mess and needing someone to turn to, only to find no one is there.
It’s a story all too familiar to peeps stuck in isolation, and one that could come handy in case you need a release.
Zack Tabudlo (Binibini)
It’s crazy to think that Zack Tabudlo was the same kid who captured our ears with his rendition of Maroon 5’s Sunday Morning on The Voice Kids PH. Fast forward several years later, Zack is dropping hits left and right, first with Nangangamba and now, Binibini.
Binibini is the closest that hopeless romantics have to an anthem: with promises of dancing under the rain, doing anything for their loves, and the novelty of never feeling this way with anyone before.
It’s a ballad that will surely be a hit among courters and their haranas. And tbh, we can’t blame them: it’s pretty good.
