We might not have seen his face, but we’ve def heard his voice. Veteran voice actor Brice Armstrong who literally introduced us to ‘Dragon Ball‘ passed away of natural causes at 84 years old.
Known for his narration of the 1995 – 2003 English dub of the OG series, Brice also gave life to Captain Ginyu and Lord Slug in ‘Dragon Ball Z’. After becoming a voice staple in the franchise, he’s since lent his chops in several Dragon Ball Z games until he retired in 2009.
He’s also worked on other anime titles like Fullmetal Alchemist, Detective Conan, Lupin III, Baki the Grappler, Lupin the Third, and more.
His agency confirmed his passing earlier in a statement.
‘Although many of you might not know Brice’s work, as he retired in 2009, many more of you knew Brice as an exceedingly talented voice actor, and a very sweet, funny guy.’
‘Brice was the kindest, funniest person I’ve ever known. He was always humble, never in a bad mood–not the attitude you’d expect from such an industry legend.’
RIP to a legend
