Science is shaking

News flash: The social media peeps over at the Department of Transportation (DOTr) are weebs. Yeah, we didn’t think it was possible too.

Taking to Facebook to hype up their incoming tunnel boring machines (TBM) from Japan, the department found a way to inject some fun into the (literal and metaphorical) boring machines as they reposted an Attack on Titan meme comparing the TBM’s gigantic size to a Cart Titan.

Standing at 6.99 meters tall, 95 meters long, and weighing 700 tons, TBM wins by a landslide, BTW.

‘Kaya habang nagpapagaling ang Cart Titan pagtapos magtamo ng matinding sugat mula sa huling laban nila ni Eren, at habang hinihintay natin ang next episode ng anime na Attack on Titans, dito muna tayo sa TBM cutter head,’ they captioned the edit made by one Jane Deocampo.

‘Abangan bukas! Sa huli, si Eren at TBM lang ang malakas!’  Yeah okay, fellow nerds.

ICYDK, a TBM is essentially used to excavate tunnels, as PH is set to receive 6 TBMs from Japan to dig through partial operability sections to make subways spanning from Valenzuela to North Avenue, Quezon City.

It’s basically part of the department’s tedious process to improve the Metro Manila underground railway system. Now that we know the initial stages are loosely connected to AOT though, I guess we’ll have to stay tuned on the plot developments.

Might take longer than 4 seasons though
