CNN Philippines announces its line-up of senatorial aspirants who will take center stage in Part 2 of the network’s Senatorial Forum on Sunday, January 27th from 5:00pm to 6:30pm at the Ateneo de Manila University’s Hyundai Hall in Quezon City.
The candidates will be arranged on stage in alphabetical order, from left to right: former Interior and Local Govt. Secretary Raffy Alunan, former Congressman Neri Colmenares, former member of the Bangsamoro Transition Commission Samira Gutoc, Senator Koko Pimentel, former Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque and former Congressman Erin Tañada.
“We are committed in providing news and information that the public can use to make informed decisions on election day on May 13” says CNN Philippines President Armie Jarin-Bennett.
Moderating this CNN Philippines Special Presentation are CNN Philippines Chief Anchor/Correspondent Pia Hontiveros, CNN Philippines Senior Anchor/Correspondent Pinky Webb, and CNN International Correspondent Matt Rivers. Sociologist Nicole Curato will fact-check statements made by the senatorial aspirants during the forum.
The program will be live on Free TV Channel 9, Channel 14 on Sky Cable, Channel 10 on Cignal and live-streaming via CNNPhilippines.com, facebook.com/CNNPhilippines and the iflix app NEWS section. CNN Philippines held its first Senatorial Forum of this election season last December 2, 2018 at the University of the Philippines and featured eight senatorial candidates: Congressman Gary Alejano, Senator Bam Aquino, former PNP Chief Bato Dela Rosa, Human rights lawyer Chel Diokno, Senator JV Ejercito, former senator Juan Ponce Enrile, former Senator Sergio Osmena and former Presidential Adviser Francis Tolentino.
