PSA: Cherie Gil made an Instagram account solely to tell victims they’re nothing but second-rate trying hard copycats!

You’re nothing but a second-rate trying hard copycat! *throws drink at you*

Yes friends, that is the iconic line of Cherie Gil’s Lavinia Arguelles in the 1985 film “Bituing Walang Ningning” where she stars alongside Megastar Sharon Cuneta and Christopher de Leon.

Sharon’s Dorina Pineda adored the popular superstar Lavinia, however, Arguelles doesn’t reciprocate the feeling and becomes her bitter rival when Dorina shoots to stardom.

Gil’s Lavinia is one of the most iconic kontrabidas in Philippine cinema, especially when Cuneta’s Dorina asked her if she liked her rendition of “I Just Called to Say I Love You” and she bluntly shot back, “Sinira mo ang kanta. Binaboy mo.”

But nothing beats the wine-throwing scene where Lavinia calls out Dorina as nothing but a second-rate trying hard copycat. Nothing. And with that, Cherie decided to create an Instagram account solely made to tell victims that same line and throw drinks at them.

She even had Kasal actors Bea Alonzo and Paulo Avelino as victims!

“Sayang makeup.” Same

We can’t say for sure but we think she might have licked Paulo’s face, but can you really blame the gal???

The mission is clear, Cherie aims to arrive at 100 victims and relive this 1986 iconic scene with every relevant person she meets in the 21st century.
