Prep your Glow Cards

Per comicbook.com, OG manga and anime series ‘Cardcaptor Sakura’ is coming to Netflix  – and we’re already setting up our Glow Cards.

Originating from the popular shonen jump manga of the same name, the 70-episode anime series ran from 1998 to 2000 and has since made its mark in culture as a feelgood epic anime.

With the series first dropping on Netflix US this June 1st, Netflix UK users have meanwhile posted a title card claiming that show’s first season will drop for them on July 1.

Given its different release dates, we’re pretty sure the series will reach international shores (and PH screens) soon enough.

Plus, with Netflix buying out a number of new animated titles from ‘One Piece‘ to ‘Demon Slayer‘ – a magical card-wielding schoolgirl is hardly a leap for the service’s growing demographic.

Meanwhile, The series has also spawned two full-length films ‘Cardcaptor Sakura: The Movie’ (1999) and ‘Cardcaptor Sakura Movie 2: The Sealed Card’ (2000).
