Grabe na, 2020
Former senator and failed Vice Presidential bid Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr. plans to run for another government position during the 2022 PH elections.
‘Definitely, Sen. Bongbong Marcos will be seeking a national position come 2022,’ his spokesperson, Vic Rodriguez shared via ABS-CBN Teleradyo.
Marcos recovered from COVID-19 earlier this year, but now he’s back to filing calls for a recount for the 2016 Vice Presidential elections – where he, let us reiterate, lost to Leni Robredo.
He previously explained that he chose not to run during the 2019 elections to focus on his continued call for a VP recount.
‘I think it’s well accepted that there was cheating – paanong ginawa, exactly how many votes, what were the real results? Hindi karapat dapat na pinaghihintay ng dalawang taon ang taong bayan,’ Bongbong told Inquirer.net.
The VP’s camp has since denied allegations of cheating by Marcos, once dubbing it as a ‘desperate‘ move to root doubt to voters.
‘We challenged him to prove it, we even invited him. We waited for him in front of the Manila Cathedral sometime in January , but Mr. Marcos is no show and his lawyers. And until now the SD cards na inimbento niya ay hindi nya naipakita,’ said Robredo’s Atty. Romulo Macalintal.
Oh well, we thought…
