Along with Big Mouth, Bob’s Burgers, and The Simpsons
Our fave existential shows ‘Rick and Morty’ (R&M) and ‘Bojack Horseman’ are part of the nominees for the Outstanding Animated Program in the Primetime Emmy Awards.
This stands as the first time that the two will face off in the competition, as they haven’t been nominated in the same year yet.
The Emmy-nominated episodes in particular are Bojack’s penultimate series finale ‘View From The Halfway Down‘ that chronicles *spoilers* chilling Bojack’s near-death experience and R&M’s ‘Vat of Acid Episode‘ which is… an episode in a vat of acid.
Meanwhile, longrunning show ‘The Simpsons’ is also nominated this year, along with Netflix’s ‘Big Mouth‘ and happily-mundane FOX show ‘Bob’s Burgers’.
‘The Simpsons’ trumped ‘Bojack’ and other nominees last year when it gained it’s 34th Emmy win for the Season 30 episode ‘Mad About The Toy’.
Wonder who’s taking the crown this year
