BLACKPINK (finally) reveals October drop for debut album

It’s hard to believe that after all of the worldwide acclaim, Internet-breaking collabs, and that historic performance at Coachella, BLACKPINK has yet to actually release a full-fledged album.

It’s understandable then when social had a collective meltdown when ‘BLACKPINK The Album’ was finally announced by YG Entertainment, with a drop date scheduled for October 2, 2020.

The reveal follows the release of ‘How You Like That’, which broke several records, including being the most-watched music video premiere on YouTube in under 24-hours. July also saw the K-Pop group become the most subscribed female artist on the platform, surpassing Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift

A second single has been teased earlier in the month, along with a surprise guest artist. Previously, BLACKPINK collaborated with Lady Gaga on ‘Sour Candy, as part of the latter’s sixth album, Chromatica.
