Bonifacio Global City is a fascinating place
Entering this high-profile city in Taguig is like stepping into an entirely different country. It’s glitzy, glamorous and hi-tech, completely indifferent to the problems that plague its surrounding cities.
Sure, it can be a bit too elitist at times, with lavish areas that are perfect embodiments of the ‘Mean Girls’ trope that screams ‘you can’t sit with us.’
But look closely enough, you’ll learn that this seemingly snobbish district actually has a softer side, with hidden gems that are sanctuaries for its more frugal visitors.
At midnight is where BGC is at its peak. It becomes a beautiful, nocturnal beast, filled with dazzling lights that decorate this city that never sleeps.
It’s this urban jungle that has become a haven for street photographers, who have used the multi-colored avenues and side streets to flaunt several distinct styles.

It’s places like BGC that created the need to develop more powerful means to capture gorgeous nighttime displays, such as OPPO R17 Pro’s camera.
With its ‘Night Mode’ feature, R17’s cam is able to produce sharp images even in lowlight situations. Factoring in its hefty power source (it can reach a 40% battery life in just 10 minutes), R17 allows every street photographer to seize the night, regardless of the environment.
So, if you’re looking for aesthetically pleasing nighttime #streetshots to deco your IG feed this holiday season, I recommend skipping the cliche’, overcrowded Christmas displays in the Metro.
Instead, try strolling around BGC at midnight. Aside from the mashup of lights, sounds, and culture, the various street shot techniques you can experiment within the area make for an entirely unpredictable experience – which is the best kind, IMO.
